How is Chiropractic Care Different?

Our philosophy is based on the wisdom that one should treat the actual problem, rather than symptoms alone. If the underlying problem is not addressed, the symptoms will continue to return. Chiropractic care honors the body’s instinctive inclination to be a healthy organism. We do not add anything and we do not take anything away. We simply remove any interference with your natural healing ability. Ultimately, we work to realign the vertebra in your spine, so your nervous system can function at its’ optimal level.

INITIAL INTENSIVE CARE
This is usually where most patients begin their chiropractic care. Visits can be frequent, depending upon the severity of your condition. The primary focus is to reduce or eliminate your most obvious symptoms and pain.

REHABILITATIVE CARE
With your symptoms or pain diminished, the objective is to stabilize spinal function and promote a more complete healing. Muscles and soft tissues of the spine are strengthened during this stage of care, helping to avoid a relapse.

WELLNESS CARE
With the maximum restoration of spinal function, many patients enjoy regular chiropractic “checkups.” This type of preventive wellness care can save time and money by helping to avoid little problems from becoming serious.

HOW YOU CAN TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE IN YOUR CARE

*Knowledge is Power
The more you understand your problem, the better results you’ll get. That’s why we offer an information-rich environment and patient education tools. Ask questions and get involved.

*Use Our Experience
The goal of our recommendations is to reduce subluxation patterns in your spine. Each visit builds on the ones before, so missing a visit can hamper your progress.

*Exercise and Massage
Exercise as you are able. Just 20 minutes of brisk walking every other day can help. Massage and stretching are beneficial too. Inactivity tends to prolong recovery time.

*Drink Plenty of Water
Water plays a key role in healthy joints, nerve transmission, waste removal and many bodily functions. Throughout the day, supply your body with enough pure water.

*Get Adequate Rest
Get seven to eight hours of restful sleep each night so your body can make repairs. Lie on your side or back on a firm mattress. Support your neck with a high quality pillow.

*Remain Hopeful
Many health problems arise form years of neglect. It can take just as long, or longer, to make lasting changes. Keep a positive attitude and remain optimistic. We are!
